As we wrote about just a couple weeks ago, Madison Square Garden (MSG) has a booking and marketing company that competes head to head with AEG Live. In late 2016, MSG implemented a rule preventing acts playing at the AEG operated Los Angeles Staples Center, from playing at the MSG owned Forum. AEG countered, preventing acts playing at the Forum (as opposed to Staples Center), from playing at London’s O2 Arena. With the Rams moving to a site adjacent to the Forum, MSG is expecting the venue to remain a hotspot for concerts and events into the foreseeable future. Now reports indicate Clippers owner Steve Ballmer wants to build a state-of-the-art arena for his team, on land previously leased by MSG, also next to the Rams new home. Needless to say, Jim Dolan is not pleased. In fact, should the Clippers acquire the land, he plans to sue to block the deal!

Howie Long-Short opines: No one should be surprised to see the Dolans in another lawsuit.
