Though he already owns a multimillion-dollar Corona del Mar beach spread, Freddie Freeman told the Los Angeles Times a month ago that he was looking for a home closer to Dodger Stadium to reduce his 90-minute commute time from Orange County. Seems the former longtime Atlanta Braves and current Dodger player’s wish has now come to fruition, as the baseball star and his wife Chelsea just picked up a freshly built spec mansion in the western reaches of Studio City, Dirt reports.

First listed late last year for $8.5 million, records show the property sold for a discounted $7.8 million. Custom-built and designed in 2022 by the architectural team of Rob Diaz, Mark Alexander and Anastasia Ratia, the two-story house has four bedrooms and six baths in almost 6,300 square feet of warm yet chic Sarah Brady-designed living space.

The couple’s newly acquired residence sits on almost a quarter-acre parcel of land, at the end of a gated driveway that empties out at an attached two-car garage fronting the double A-frame structure. From there, a walkway bordered by a manicured lawn leads up to the rustic wood front door, which opens into a lengthy entrance hallway and open-concept living space adorned throughout with high wood-beam ceilings, plaster walls, wide-plank oak floors, designer lighting, and oversized steel-case windows and doors providing seamless indoor-outdoor environs.

Main-level highlights include a wet bar-equipped den nestled alongside a private courtyard, and spacious living room anchored by a vintage-inspired fireplace, built-in shelving, a day bed and glass doors spilling outside.
