The WWE has named Steve Koonin, Connor Schell and Nick Khan to the organization’s board of directors.
Koonin currently serves as the CEO of the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, a position he’s held since 2014. He previously worked as president of Turner Entertainment Networks, where he oversaw TNT, TBS, truTV and TCM.
Schell, the founder and CEO of a yet-unnamed unscripted content venture with Chernin Entertainment, had been an executive vice president at ESPN, where he was an executive producer on O.J.: Made in America and The Last Dance. Schell was responsible for the development and production globally of all live event, studio and original content across ESPN’s platforms.
Nick Khan has been the WWE President and chief revenue officer since August 2020. Before joining WWE, Khan had been the co-head of the television department at CAA, where he represented top broadcasters and assisted in negotiations of media rights deal on behalf of the WWE, the SEC and Top Rank Boxing.
“The addition of Steve, Connor and Nick provides WWE and its Board with some of the most accomplished executives in media,” Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman & CEO, said in a release. “With such proven track records across our industry, we look forward to their insight and contributions as members of our Board.”
Outside of the board of directors, the WWE will hit the road again on a 25-city Summer Tour from July 16 to Labor Day on Sept. 6. Its first three stops will be in Texas at the Houston Rockets’ Toyota Center, Dickies Arena in Fort Worth and the Dallas Mavericks’ American Airlines Center.
